Dear colleagues, balloonists,
I have a great pleasure to invite you on behalf of Mayor, all Municipal Assembly members, and occupants of Smederevska Palanka and surrounding places in the central part of Serbia and Shumadia, to overfly the lovely plentiful fields, green pasture and meadows, woodlands and orchards, cricks, rivers and lakes by huge coloured balloons and to hitch the “Kissy” ball into the “Kissy” basket on the airfield Rudine - “Kissy valley” of Smederevska Palanka, and in this way demonstrate and confirm that we can fly wherever we want in spite of the fact we fly balloons.
The winner of the International balloon festival “Kissy” is the balloon pilot who most frequently hitches the “Kissy” ball into the “Kissy” basket after he had overflown not less than 5 km.
The winner will be awarded the cup and diploma.
The second and the third placed competitor - balloon pilot will get diplomas.
The organizer will supply all participants with LPG – liquid propane gas, detailed maps, meteorology data for flying and hotel or private accommodation for pilot and 2 chase members, donations as well as opening and closing ceremony.
Deadline for acceptance entry forms is Sunday, September 06th, 2010.
The organizer’s intention is to organize the International Balloon Festival “Kissy” as a multimedia spectacle in the airfield “Kissy valley” just behind the river Jasenica of Smederevska Palanka, with different additional programs and contents such as: industry fair, cultural exhibition and performance, international air show and other, which are joined by morning and evening hot-air balloon flights in an integral event with main task to promote and develop tourism of Smederevska Palanka.
This year we have been organizing Balloon festival as a pre-arrangement of a greater and greater event each following year, and Aeronautical Association of Serbia this year, we entrusted the organization of the Serbian Cup flying hot air balloons.
